I purchased this book at an outdoor store while in Canada on a backpacking trip. I'm a Registered Nurse and have worked in the ICU, Emergency Room, and medical - surg units, plus certified in Wilderness First Aid. Of all the hundreds of medical, nursing, and wilderness first aid books I have read this book is the best all around source. If I had to take only one book in a bug out situation -- this is the book to take. Excellent presentation of med pain relief ladder, antibiotic guide, organization by topic/body system. Provides flowcharts with both symptoms/signs and treatment! The authors have clearly put a lot of effort into this book and it shows it.
