Product Description I just picked up a Leatherman Wingman for $25 today. The pros and cons of this multitool are:Design Pros
-Comes with a clip (but not a sheath) which I prefer because I don't always wear a belt.
-Has polished metal surfaces vs. the Kick/Fuse/Blast series which had a dull finish and looked cheap to me.
-Has the tools I most use (pliers, knife, scissors, screwdrivers)
-Spring loaded pliers
-One-hand opening knife which is exterior accessible
-Knife is 1/2 serrated which is great for cutting rope and other fibrous material
-Scissors are exterior accessible
-Initial experience indicates that the package opener tool works wellDesign Cons
-Knife locking mechanism is exactly where I place my thumb and easily activated which could lead to accidental closingQuality Pros
-Tools (other than pliers see below) feel substantial and of high qualityQualtiy Cons
-There is a slight side to side play in the pliers. This is my fifth Leatherman and I've never seen this before.
-The wire cutter is unusable because they cutters don't overlap. The metal at the tip of the pliers is slightly elevated on both sides which prevents the pliers from closing enough to allow the wire cutters to overlap. Again, I have never seen this before in a Leatherman. I'm classifying this as a qualilty issue as the wire cutters are unusable like this and I have a hard time believing it was designed this way.Interestingly, I own a Gerber Suspension Butterfly (also spring loaded and in the same price range) that exhibits play in the pliers and non-closing wire cutters. If it weren't for the nonfuctional wire cutters I would recommend this multitool based on the low cost (even with the slight play in the pliers and the misplaced knife release). As is, I can only give it 3 stars. I am going to contact Leatherman about this issue and may return the Wingman and see if the wire cutter issues (and pliers play) are unique to my tool.
