I needed a bunch a flashlights to take to a overnight charity event - something easy to slip into the pocket, enough light to walk along unlit paths, and of course inexpensive enough to not be a budget buster. Batteries included was a real plus. I bought several packs and was very pleasantly surprised that every single light worked right out of the package. Oddly, some of flashlights had a small paper tag under the cap that had to be removed before using, some didn't. I've gotten similar style 6 led flashlights with metal cases and found many of those are broken right at the store. These 100% worked! The only trick I found is the threading is a little tricky and you have to screw it on just right or the light might not work.They do make as much light or more as a old style two D battery flashlight, but small and light enough to put in your pocket The rubberized case makes for a nice grip. If you depend on a flashlight every day as part or your job these obviously can't be expected to replace a Mag-lite, but for keeping around all around the house, garage, car, camping, this are great. Best part if you lose one it's no big deal, you still got nine more left.
