The SteriPEN Water Bottle PRE-FILTER is actually a two-part system (base and pre-filter cartridge) for used with any NALGENE® wide mouth water bottle. The StreiPEN Pre-Filter is ideal for use when clear water is not available. A must for third-world travel or in the event of a disaster. REUSUABLE over & over again after cleaning.
The PRE-FILTER is designed to remove large lake or stream particulates and larger size sand or silt. NO PUMPING NECESSARY. Simply attach to your NALGENE wide mouth water bottle, screw-on the pre-filter, then dip bottle into stream or water source. Once filled to the desired level, remove the Pre-Filter cartridge insert then insert the SteriPEN into the pre-filter base and treat the water per the SteriPEN instructions.
Fast, simple, no-brainer to use. Pre-Filter cartridge is designed to store inside the pre-filter screw-on base after use. NALENGE screw cap attaches to prefilter base.
