After thoroughly tested this "ECO" friendly lantern, I was very impressed with their utility for a variety of uses for all types of emergency preparedness for homes, businesses and rescue teams. In addition, they are also excellent for camping, boating, RVing, electrical power outages and also general around the home use.

To recharge using the sun, simply flip down the built-in high capacity solar panel on the backside of the lantern and set it in direct sunlight to start charging. A full day of sun charging yields up to 3 continuous hours of light later. Fully charged by a/c power, this lantern it will provide up to 7 hours of bright light.

Light is provided by very bright 9 watt energy saving U-shaped fluorescent tube. A selector switch allows you to choose high or medium brightness of bulb. Unit also has a pair of emergency amber flashing beacons.
